THE OPPORTUNITY: As a member of the Funding & Shared Services team, you will assist your Team in reconciling and remitting property tax payments and completing administrative needs while maintaining the highest level of service and complying with policies, practices and procedures.

Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Reconcile and remit property tax payments to appropriate municipalities within defined timelines and with 100% accuracy
  • Action all calls and emails within required timeframes
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a timely basis
  • Maintain best-in-class relationships with municipalities, customers, brokers
  • Provide the highest level of support to other areas of funding
  • Maintain operational excellence, using all available resources, escalating when necessary, in order to maximize efficiencies and provide quick turnaround times
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support cross-departmental mandates and goals, together with Funding, Finance, Servicing
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Monitor the adequacy of customer tax account balances and payments, adjusting when necessary
  • Communicate with customers regarding their tax accounts and required adjustments

 

Educational /Technical Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year administrative experience
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong French writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Possess solid Ms Office/Computer skills
  • Possess solid Internet and email skills
  • University/College degree in related field considered an asset 
  • Mortgage industry experience an asset

  • Able to handle high volume of inquiries by phone and email in a professional and courteous manager with sound knowledge and confidence
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
  • Self-Motivated / proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Detail oriented
